The Barnesville Lamar County Historical Society is embarking on an exciting new venture to enhance tourism in our area and raise local, statewide, and national awareness about the rich economic and cultural history of Barnesville, Lamar County.

How Can You Help?
The Barnesville Lamar County Historical Society, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax deductible organization, is seeking donations to fund Phase 1 of Barnesville's Old Jail Museum Restoration and Exhibition Project. Additional funding will be sought through grants and foundations.

Artifacts
Identify and preserve artifacts and archival material vital to the history of Barnesville, Lamar County
Exhibition
Upgrade exhibitions with fresh material and create a new flow to the museum experience
Restore
the Crowder Brother's Gin House which houses original Barnesville Buggies
Environment
Create a safe environment for future exhibitions
Storage Vault
Rehabilitate our collections storage area with shelving and create safe areas for storage and archival purposes
